Quick Access to Mentorship in Finance Part I [LINK]

◇◇◇

Causal Capital provides commentary and advisory to a diverse global audience, and only the other day an associate from Bloomberg LP reached out to our technical team. He put two questions to us on how to develop Mentorship Programs in Finance.

The two questions go along the following lines:

[1] "From your experience in financial markets, where do people fail in their careers?"

AND

[2] "Where is the biggest gap in the finance sector that could be filled with a Mentorship Program?"

In our response to these questions, we are going to publish two whitepapers on Mentorship in Finance.

These are opinion based observations of course, but the content has been inspired from what we observe as analysts and managers working with our finance clients across the globe.

In the first paper we look at winning factors that Progressive People personally entertain to succeed in long term objectives, and in doing so; we have focused on Six Specific Systems or Pillars that winners adopt on their individual journey to achievement.

Six Situational Systems

There are of course more than six factors that lead to success, especially as the label of "success" has different meanings to alternate people. All that aside, finance gals and guys who are actively engaging in one or more of these six activities appeared to be on top of their game.

  1. Finding Purpose & Planning

  2. Learning

  3. Building on strengths

  4. Homophily

  5. Purpose & Persistence

  6. Rebooting Success Cycles

The Mentorship in Finance Part I paper can be found at the following [LINK].

Please do reach out to us on this [LINK], and we would be curious to hear your comments on the Six Pillars of Success. Even more importantly, we would like to hear what you do to succeed in your career.
